Today, the archetypal shadow of Carl Jung loomed before me. Out of the darkness. Out of the stream of subconsciousness. The unacknowledged self, drowning in darkness. In my last post, I talked about the fact that human reality is limited to perception. We cannot see reality beyond perception, which is why it is so limited for us. It creates illusions, and we, as gullible animals, cannot distinguish whether it is real or not.
Perception is a construct of consciousness, so there is inevitably a part of reality that is beyond perception. Like the archetypal shadow, it is an unconscious part of the personality that is reflected like a mirror. In others. In us. In dreams. And in fantasies.
Watching the stream of light streaming through a block of concrete (symbolizing our cities. Civilization. The world. So dazzlingly bright, where we perceive reality as a given, even though we don't even know it), it was as if I had a meeting with myself. Again.
