Trapped in anachronistic images, the image of surrealism has to find its own vision. As the surrealist backdrop of the world takes over, we have to remember that it is not the same as 20th century surrealism. Global warming, oil-soaked cityscapes, pandemics and the threat of extinction - this is the surrealism of a generation lulled into an era of hedonistic nihilism, looking for a timely vision in the hauntological present.
